Luna Kalo is a multilingual versatile theatre and film actor. She performs in fluent French, Italian, Spanish and English.(& basic Irish.)
She performed with a fire breathing fireball twirling Street theatre company, The Belthane Fire Society in Edinburgh, while getting her M.A. in Italian and French cinema and literature at Edinburgh University. After her degree, she won a fully funded scholarship from the Scottish Government to attend Ecole Internationale Jacques Lecoq in Paris. She went on to work as artistic director, actor and writer for Le Printemps company in Toulouse where she wrote, directed and performed in several original plays in French.
She performed all over Catalunya and the Basque country for Bluemango Theatre Company, and she toured Portugal with Luana Laubeski’s theatre company. She worked as part of the ensemble troupe of the Théâtre des 3T in Toulouse. She played the lead role in The Stronger, by Strindberg,directed by Egyptian director, Hani Sami. (Cannes film festival Short Corner 2014.)
Since her return to Northern Ireland, she has been performing with Big Telly Theater company and Beyond Skin. She was recently offered a place at Ivana Chubbuck’s Studio, specializing in acting and directing masterclasses, in L.A.
